The son of legendary sniper Thomas Beckett, U.S. Marine Sergeant Brandon Beckett, is tasked with training the Congolese government army to fight back against rebels. To evacuate a stranded white botanist from the Congo border, the higher-ups dispatch Beckett and his comrades deep into the rebel-held border area. After meeting the botanist, Beckett's team is ambushed by rebel snipers, resulting in the deaths of all his comrades. Beckett is rescued by the hunter Martin and narrowly escapes. Beckett takes the botanist's daughter, Kelly, back to camp, but he collapses halfway there. When he wakes up, his father's friend Miller (Billy Zane) is training him to become a sniper, giving him the ability to seek revenge. However, as a Marine, Beckett despises the "sneaky" nature of snipers and refuses the training. Yet, this is his only chance for revenge, and he carries the blood of a sniper...
