This film is adapted from the eponymous autobiography by the late novelist Takayama Shinji. The protagonist, Kousuke (played by Ryohei Suzuki), lost his mother at the age of 14 and moved to Tokyo to become a fashion magazine editor. He has always used his glamorous clothing as a shield to protect himself. Then he meets Ryota (played by Hyoe Miyazawa), who is unaware of his own beauty. From then on, he sheds his facade, experiences the joy of loving someone, and at the same time, he questions himself: is this really a form of self-satisfaction?
