Video information

Marseille, a serial psychopathic killer, rapes women in some wealthy villas before beating them to death. Inspector Louis Schneider is tasked with investigating the case. Schneider is emotionally and physically drained due to the death of his daughter in a car accident several years ago and his wife's lifelong disability, which has turned him into an alcoholic. Young woman Justine, who has struggled with the nightmare of witnessing her parents' brutal murder 25 years ago, learns that the murderer is about to be released. Her fear of the murderer's release brings her together with Schneider. The film's director, Olivier Marchal, has worked as a police officer and previously directed "36 Quai des Orfèvres" (36, Quai of the Goldsmiths) in 2004, which is based on the address of the Paris Police Prefecture. "MR73 Revolver" is adapted from a real case that Marchal investigated in 1981. The title refers to the "Manurhin" 1973 "Python" 357 revolver, a weapon used by the French Gendarmerie's elite forces.
