On March 17th, Comedy Channel will air the new animated series *Ugly Americans*. The show follows the story of Mark Lilly, a dedicated social worker who helps newly arrived "citizens" integrate into American society. You may have noticed the intriguing title and the quotation marks around "citizen"—there's no doubt that this is a satirical work that uses animation to comment on real-world issues. And these so-called "citizens"... Well, not all of them are human. There are also "others"—demons from hell, vampires, zombies, werewolves, multi-headed monsters... Anything that has appeared in fantasy novels, fantasy films, or fairy tales could potentially show up in the series. Tasks like getting vampires to stop drinking blood, werewolves to stop breaking into houses, and overweight individuals to stop staying at home and engaging in social activities may not be easy, but Mark is willing to give it a try. What troubles Mark isn't just his work, but also his zombie roommate and demon girlfriend. He really wants to get a good night's sleep, but when a beautiful mermaid, so enchanting that she makes your heart flutter, sits in a bar waving at you, who could possibly sleep? ——Tiya Small House
