Video information
The World of Darkness Encyclopedia is an animated series that compiles short animated episodes featuring topics such as UFOs, UMA (Unidentified Mysterious Animals), curses, ancient civilizations, psychic abilities, spiritual experiences, strange events, alternate dimensions, and urban legends. It combines the modern world we live in and presents a dark, old-fashioned puppet show-style animation. Originally published as a supernatural special feature in manga magazines during the 1960s and 1970s, it was a peculiar book that captivated children in school libraries, with nostalgic Shōwa-era illustrations. The animation aims to recreate this atmosphere. As you flip through the pages of the encyclopedia, you'll find works brimming with wonder. Directed by Shōei Ikeda, who helmed *Death Sushi*, and with scripts by Wurontei Yoshida, the series features a lineup of voice actors including Saitō Kō, Watanabe Tetsu, Togai Katsumi, Takiguchi Yukihiro, and Imagawa Aimi, among others.
