Video information
On a summer day, the red-haired girl Mary (voiced by Hanami Higurashi) is sent to her aunt Charlotte's countryside cottage for a vacation. Being new to the place, Mary is still getting used to her surroundings, especially as the mischievous boy Peter (voiced by Ryunosuke Kamiki) seems to be intentionally making her life difficult, making it hard for her to enjoy herself. During an accidental forest adventure, Mary encounters the legendary magical flower "Night Flight" and finds a broken broom. Strangely, this magical broom carries Mary into the sky, leading her to Endel Academy, a place dedicated to training magicians. In this magical place, Mary is warmly welcomed by Madame Mamblerchek (voiced by Yuki Amami) and meets the eccentric Dr. D (voiced by Fumiyo Orikasa). Although Mary becomes a magical student somewhat haphazardly, she soon discovers the secrets hidden within this place... This film is adapted from the British children's literary novel by Mary Sturt, and it is the first animated feature film produced by Hiroshi Miyazaki after leaving Studio Ghibli.
