Josie, who lives in her own world, is immersed in the ocean of her interests, painting and books. Born with a disability, she has always been confined to a wheelchair. One day, while nearly falling on a dangerous slope, she is helped by a college student named Tadashi. Tadashi, specializing in marine biology, is working tirelessly at part-time jobs to fulfill his dream of seeing the dreamlike fish that only live in Mexico. Josie's grandmother, Chizue, who lives with her, introduces Tadashi to a part-time job that involves following Josie's requests and finding ways to fulfill them. However, the stubborn and socially awkward Josie is very harsh toward Tadashi, who, in turn, does not care that she is disabled and responds to her straightforwardly. Gradually, the distance between them narrows, and they begin to understand each other. As they interact, Josie resolves to go with Tadashi to see the world she has always dreamed of. The film is adapted from Seiko Tanabe's novel "Jose and the Tiger and the Fishes."
