Some say that the world is a vast sea of suffering, where people are in the sea, their physical bodies are the boats, and their souls are the people in the boats, sailing towards the other shore. The Great Qian Dynasty, in its prime, is prosperous with a flourishing national fortune and all under heaven submitting to its authority. However, beneath the surface of its strength, hidden currents are already surging. Distant enemies and nearby neighbors are watching with greedy eyes, the eight demon immortals are stirring with ambition, Marshal of the Military Affairs Hong Xuanji wields immense power over the court, and the Supreme Dao Master Meng Shenji oversees the world. In such a world of great contention, a young scholar named Hong Yi voices his first question to the world. Hong Yi is the son of the first minister of the dynasty, Hong Xuanji, and the previous Saint Maiden of the Supreme Dao, Meng Bingyun. Orphaned at a young age, being a son of a concubine, he is constantly bullied by others, but this cannot stop his determination to pursue learning. By chance, Hong Yi embarks on an incredibly perilous path of cultivating both martial arts and the Way. Under the pressure of fate, he rises up in resistance, overcoming numerous powerful enemies, and becomes a legendary figure.
