Sasaki Sugar is a high school freshman girl who lives in an apartment with another girl named Kanbe Salt. Sugar believes that the person she loves the most in the world is Salt, and she works hard at part-time jobs outside of school to support herself and Salt. During her part-time work, Sugar encounters a female manager who appears kind but is extremely possessive and deducts her wages, as well as a married teacher who has sadistic tendencies and inappropriate desires for her.
