Video information
The story begins with a confession from high school girl Soga Chiyo (voiced by Aya Suzaki). Her crush is a boy in the same grade as her—tall at 190 cm, with a very masculine presence—Nozaki-kun (voiced by Yuuichi Nakamura). The result of her confession is that she receives his autograph. Chiyo is troubled by the misunderstanding caused by her confession line, "I'm your fan." Just as she's pondering this, Nozaki-kun unexpectedly invites her home. Chiyo is both nervous and excited, but what awaits her is a pile of manga drafts. She ends up becoming his manga assistant without fully understanding the situation. Chiyo soon discovers that her crush, Nozaki-kun, is actually a famous shoujo manga artist. Despite his works being renowned for depicting delicate female emotions, Nozaki-kun himself is surprisingly carefree and has no experience with romance. The characters in his manga are based on people from his surroundings, and these "prototypes" are all characters with strikingly contrasting and endearing personalities... This anime is adapted from the four-panel manga work created by Japanese manga artist Tsubaki Izumi.
