Haru (voiced by Shinichiro Uchida) is a typical literary youth who spends his days buried in books, considering Charles Baudelaire's famous work *Les Fleurs du Mal* as his sacred scripture. In Haru's heart, his classmate, Nanae Sōbe (voiced by Yōko Hikasa), is the embodiment of a goddess. Unfortunately, due to his own mediocrity, Haru can only express his feelings through intense gazes. One day, Haru accidentally finds Sōbe's gymnastics uniform, and impulsively, he keeps it, still bearing her scent. Unbeknownst to him, this act is witnessed in its entirety by the delinquent girl in the class, Sawako Nakamura (voiced by Marika Ise). When Haru tries to return the gymnastics uniform to Sōbe, he realizes that the situation has spiraled out of control. Using Haru's weakness, Nakamura forces him to sign a so-called contract, under which Haru must comply with her every demand in exchange for keeping the secret. The *Evil Flower* quietly blooms, and a twisted love triangle between control and submission begins to unfold.
