The story takes place on a picturesque island, where three teenagers—Gusen Taro (voiced by Keiichi Nishiyama), Nakajima Keisuke (voiced by Jun Fukuyama), and Oyama Shin (voiced by Souichirou Hoshi)—live. Each of them has a painful past they would rather not recall. One day, tired of their mundane and boring lives, the three decide to gather and explore a legendary cursed place. At the boundary between the "real world" and the "spirit world," they witness a terrifying and agonizing sight. In their fear, they flee hastily, only to discover that their souls have separated from their bodies. When they manage to reunite with their physical forms, everything changes. The three gain the extraordinary ability to freely travel between the two worlds. Meanwhile, the truth behind Gusen Taro's past kidnapping incident resurfaces.
