Video information
The new "Star Wars" animated series, *Star Wars: Rebels*, takes place in the era between the third and fourth chapters of the *Star Wars* saga (the Empire's counterattack that destroyed the last Jedi). The series will be produced by Dave Filoni, the director of the *Star Wars: The Clone Wars* animated series. The art concepts for the series will be based on the works of the late sci-fi master Ralph McQuarrie, who designed classic characters and scenes for the *Star Wars* films. *Star Wars: Rebels* will continue the tradition of the *Star Wars* adventure epic. It is a dark time in the galaxy, as the evil Galactic Empire has taken over a remote planet with iron-fisted rule and committed numerous atrocities against its people. However, a group of brave individuals rises up to resist. This group will face the threats of villains, experience thrilling adventures, and become heroes.
