Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon is an animated series based on the seventh-generation games Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. In Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon, Ash will travel to the Alola region, experiencing campus life with classmates Lillie, Kiawe, Mallow, Mina, and Makuhita, with the goal of graduating. In the Alola region, Ash and Pikachu will encounter new Pokémon, obtain Z-Rings, and learn "Z-Moves."
