High school girl Shizuko Kurosawa (voiced by Asami Nagano), with her jet-black long hair and pale complexion, is likely too introverted and socially awkward, as despite her kindness and willingness to help others, she is perceived as overly gloomy by her classmates, who deliberately avoid her and even nickname her "Sadako." Despite this, Shizuko does not argue or defend herself, silently enduring everything. However, there is one person who actively reaches out to her—Shizuko's classmate, the handsome and popular Shouta Kazama (voiced by Daisuke Ono). Thanks to Shouta's efforts, the classmates gradually accept Shizuko, and Shizuko begins to experience the joy that her peers should have. Time passes, and an indescribable emotion begins to grow in the hearts of Shizuko and Shouta. This vivid and unforgettable story is adapted from the original manga by Kegumi Shiina.
