Students at an art university, Takehito, along with his senior, Shinji, and Saito, who has failed multiple times, live together in a single apartment. Their lives are carefree yet full of fun. Their teacher, Hanamoto-sensei, introduces them to his cousin's daughter, Akiko. Despite her youthful appearance, Akiko possesses remarkable artistic talent, and neither Takehito nor Saito feels an instant attraction to her. Unspoken feelings of love and friendship gradually spread among the three. On the other hand, Shinji falls for Hanamoto-sensei's friend, Rika. However, Rika is deeply lost in her grief over her late husband and cannot pull herself out of it. Shinji's childhood friend, Yamada, who is strong and cheerful, often sheds tears alone due to her unrequited love for Shinji. That summer, the air is filled with sweetness and bitterness. A four-leaf clover sways in the wind, waiting for the children seeking happiness to pluck it.
