1,800 years ago, the monster spawned from humanity's evil thoughts, the Eight-Headed Serpent, wreaked havoc upon the world. It was sealed away by the martial artists led by the Hayabusa family using three sacred artifacts. In the present day, the World Martial Arts Tournament - THE KING OF FIGHTERS (abbreviated as KOF) is held, gathering the world's top fighters in Nanzhen. The heir of the Hayabusa family, Hayabusa Jin, arrives in Nanzhen and immediately senses the revival of the Serpent's power. All signs indicate that a massive conspiracy lies behind the KOF tournament. As the KOF tournament unfolds, all the teams, each with their own purposes, are gradually drawn together by the hand of fate. Meanwhile, the evil forces lurking in the shadows have already set up a vast net, ready to ensnare all the fighters at once. The clash between justice and evil is imminent!
