The film is divided into four parts, documenting a young boy's fantastical journey. After waking up, he finds himself on an island. Alone and wanting to go home, he is pursued by an evil ghost who wants to eat him. Along the way, he discovers a motorcycle and befriends a bird that cannot fly. He travels long distances, crossing deserts and forests, interacting with other animals, and imagining his life on the island. In between dreams and reality, the narrative of the film also reflects the process of film creation. "Departure" seeks to express our shared need to connect with the world.
