Not long after the intense showdown in *TheatricalWeird publication: Tang Umbrella*, the medicine peddler (voiced by Hiroshi Okamoto) reappears, this time venturing into the inner courtyard of the Daiō. Following the previous incident, the place is undergoing a period of upheaval. A woman of noble birth, Otomo Botan (voiced by Haruka Tomatsu), has taken over as the new head manager, replacing Uegasawa, and is implementing a strict yet balanced leadership style. This high-pressure policy has gradually intensified the already strained relationship between her and the senior courtesan Fukumi (voiced by Yōko Hikasa), who was once favored by the Emperor (voiced by Taisuke Hirata). The rift between them continues to deepen. Meanwhile, the Emperor's wife, Empress Kikuko (voiced by Atsumi Sakurai), is about to select a guardian for herPrince, but a sudden incident completely upends Fukumi's fate. She gives birth to a child considered an ill omen, and the elder minister Otomo (voiced by Kenyū Horiuchi) sees this as a threat, making her the target of a power struggle and conspiracy. In the web of power woven by a patriarchal system, conflicts of interest and attempts to conceal the truth quickly spiral out of control. At the same time, strange incidents occur one after another, with people spontaneously combusting and turning to ashes in an instant. The medicine peddler suspects that these incidents are caused by a *mazaki* (a mythical creature) and begins an investigation. However, what he faces is a mysterious and constantly evolving group threat. The true identity of this *mazaki* is revealed to be the offspring of the Fire Rat (voiced by Tadashi Igeno). They not only attack humans but also seem to be searching for their mother, who refuses to appear. Why does the Fire Rat specifically target those who harm newborns? And what tragedy has driven her toDeeply grieved. and continuously self-immolate? The medicine peddler delves deep into the Daiō, peeling back layer upon layer of darkness, in search of the three essential elements needed to eliminate the *mazaki*: form, truth, and reason. He swears to uncover the truth and quell the calamity.
