A 13-year-old boy named Liu Maoxing (voiced by Mamoru Miura) has extraordinary talent in cooking. After his mother's passing, he and his sister manage the restaurant Chikusaro, living a peaceful life. However, an unexpected visitor disrupts their tranquility. The mother's apprentice, Shou'an, attempts to seize control of the restaurant. After a fierce culinary duel, Maoxing defeats Shou'an with his exceptional cooking skills and deep understanding of food, earning the admiration of Admiral Li (voiced by Juttaro Totti). Following this, Maoxing travels to Guangzhou to study under the head chef of Yangquan Restaurant, Jiadi, in pursuit of the qualification of a top chef. During this time, he and his senior apprentice, Ah Q, become close friends, participating in intense cooking competitions. Later, they face off against the terrifying Dark Cuisine world... This film is adapted from the manga "Chinese Cuisine!" by Japanese manga artist Eiji Ogawa.
