The anime "Chiikawa" is adapted from the web comic created by artist Nagano. "Chiikawa" is a cute, short comic that was serialized on Twitter, featuring the adorable daily lives of small animals (なんかsmallさくてかわいいやつ). Due to its content, it was affectionately abbreviated as "Chiikawa" (ちいかわ). The comic is still ongoing, and two standalone volumes have been published by Kōdansha.
