After spending years filming some of the most dangerous animals on Earth, Craig Foster was exhausted, depressed, and his family life was in disarray. He decided to take a break from his career and return to his hometown of Cape Town, South Africa, to revisit the kelp forests near the coast, where the magical underwater world was his starting point. Over the past decade, Craig has dived in the cold waters daily, shedding his wetsuit and diving gear in one of the most predator-dense places on Earth. The common octopus he encountered and tracked was initially his subject of study, but it became his teacher, showing him things that humans have never seen before.
