Video information

This film spans six years, documenting the growth of Hong Kong's piano prodigy, Wong Ka-ching, in both his musical career and personal life. As a child prodigy who performed with a professional symphony orchestra in the Czech Republic at the age of eleven, Wong Ka-ching has received countless accolades in Hong Kong. Such achievements may seem fulfilling to others, but the loneliness and frustration of a prodigy are known only to him. The film not only chronicles Wong Ka-ching's musical journey but also portrays the relationships between him, his family, and his mentor, Lo Nai-sin, highlighting the ordinary side of this prodigy. Over six years, viewers witness Wong Ka-ching's transformation from a rebellious prodigy into a mature teenager. The film has gained significant acclaim in Hong Kong and Taiwan. It won the Best Editing, Best Sound, and Best Documentary Awards at the 46th Golden Horse Awards in 2009 and the Best Film Award at the 16th Hong Kong Film Critics Society Awards in 2010.
