Video information

Their homeland was lost in the war, and their university was occupied and destroyed. A group of young students in their late teens set off in a hurry, walking southward across Hunan, Guizhou, and Yunnan, and eventually established a temporary university on the plateau of Kunming - the Southwestern Associated University, founded by Tsinghua University, Peking University, and Nankai University. They walked through a city to attend "the best Chinese literature class in history," listened to Tchaikovsky's "Serenade," and also ran for air-raid warnings with their teachers while holding books, and joined the Flying Tigers... For these "post-90s" elders who are now over ninety years old, the Southwestern Associated University is not a buried history, but a vivid and youthful memory that remains as fresh as ever. Yang Zhenning, Xu Yuanchong, Pan Jiluan, Yang Yi, Wang Xiji, Ma Shitu... 16 alumni with an average age of over 96 years old jointly "star" in the story, taking you back to that era of intense warfare and shining stars.
