Video information
Michael Apted began filming the first documentary series in 1964, interviewing fourteen seven-year-old children from different social strata in the UK, some of whom came from orphanages and others from the upper class. Every seven years after that, Apted would revisit these children, listening to their dreams and discussing their lives. At the age of forty-nine, having seen the passage of time and the changes in the world, this film compiles the highlights of the interviews with the subjects at the ages of seven, fourteen, twenty-one, twenty-eight, thirty-five, forty-two, forty-nine, and fifty-six. "7 Up" was nominated for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Award and the Golden Satellite Award in 2006.
