The documentary, which is based on the "Dan Chen Yong Gu" exhibition, the Yuxinde Hall research and protection project, and the annual maintenance and upkeep of ancient buildings, follows the work perspectives of Palace Museum staff in the ancient architecture department, the repair skills department, the engineering department, the cultural relics science and technology department, and the archaeology department, to embark on a rediscovery journey of the Forbidden City. The documentary focuses on the repair and preservation of ancient buildings, recording the craftsmen who carefully maintain the Forbidden City within the palace walls, showcasing the intriguing connections between people outside the palace walls and this city, and telling the story of the Forbidden City's eternal youth.
