The second part, *Home Road: Waiting for Me*, tells the story of an elderly veteran in his 80s who unexpectedly discovers a hidden truth about his origins. He resolutely "runs away from home" and embarks on a journey to find his mother. His determination to "see the person if alive, or the gravestone if dead" inspires his grandson, who transitions from passively taking care of him to actively following him. Gradually, the grandson begins to understand the elder's concerns and perseverance. However, with only a "master's note" as a clue and the elderly man's fragmented memories, will they be able to fulfill their wish in the vast sea of people? This becomes the main suspense that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats throughout the series.
