The ancestors of the Chinese nation, facing rivers and mountains, built transportation networks that matched the times in various historical stages. This enabled the integration of the vast national territory, political unification, development of the vast land, allocation of economic resources, and fusion of multi-ethnic cultures. This also formed the unique Chinese transportation culture tradition, which is the deep-rooted source of the Chinese nation's "confidence in the road." The history of Chinese transportation from ancient times to the present proves that the speed of transportation operation is the pace of national historical evolution, and the areas where transportation advances are the spaces for the expansion of social civilization.
