Rangtang County in Ngawa Prefecture, Sichuan Province, was once a national-level poverty-stricken county. In order to pass down the traditional intangible cultural heritage and help revitalize the local countryside, the representative of the People's Congress of Sichuan Province and the 47th successor of the Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism, Jiayang Lezhu, brought the children of herders to learn the traditional intangible cultural heritage of Tangka. The story is represented by three students: Yaping, Seqing Lhamo, who have already graduated, and Danshang, who is currently learning painting. It presents a new path for these Tibetan youth to inherit traditional intangible cultural heritage and achieve poverty alleviation through the touching teacher-student relationship spanning three generations.
