Video information
The documentary *Level One Response* is a key project under the special guidance of the National Radio and Television Administration, comprehensively showcasing China's, especially Wuhan's, full process of combating the COVID-19 pandemic. The documentary consists of five episodes, each around 50 minutes long. The overall style of the documentary emphasizes a sense of immediacy, highlighting the investigative reporting of journalists, focusing on extreme cases, emphasizing the use of facts to speak, and capturing genuine emotions. The production team interviewed the first batch of merchants from the Huanan Seafood Market who were infected with COVID-19, recorded the responses of scientists from the Wuhan Institute of Virology to various doubts, and revealed numerous details of the investigations conducted by national experts, including Academician Zhong Nanshan and Dr. Zeng Guang, dispatched by the National Health Commission in Wuhan. The production team divided into ten groups, using a long-term, immersive filming approach to follow the president of Jinyintan Hospital, Zhang Dingyu, the head of a community street, Jin Yilan, volunteers Wang Yong and Cheng Dong, COVID-19 patient "Anian," and Qian Luojia. Through the unique filming style of an observational documentary, the team captured the genuine emotions of different individuals as they faced the pandemic. Today, the entire war between humanity and COVID-19 is far from over. Isolation is not the ultimate cure for the virus. What is? Just as scientists attempt to trace the origins of the virus in search of answers, the documentary *Level One Response* also attempts to trace the origins of human nature in search of answers. The lens focuses on the duality of human emotions: love and fear.
