Twenty years later, following the longest war in U.S. history, Afghanistan has once again fallen into the hands of the Taliban. "Turning Point: 9/11 and the War on Terror" answers the following questions: Who attacked the United States? Why? What went wrong with the intelligence system that led to the tragedy? How did the highest-level decisions made by three administrations during the War on Terror contribute to the current situation? The series includes interviews with numerous individuals, including officials from multiple U.S. presidential administrations, former CIA members, U.S. veterans, Afghan National Army soldiers, Taliban commanders, members of the Afghan government, Afghan warlords, and Afghan civilians—many of whom have never spoken on camera before.
