"Bikram: Yoga, Master, Predator" examines the tumultuous life of Bikram Choudhury, the controversial founder of hot yoga. In the early 1970s, Choudhury arrived in Beverly Hills from Kolkata, India, and quickly amassed a celebrity following, building a global fitness empire that brought him immense wealth. However, by the 2010s, numerous sexual assault allegations emerged, along with stories of his aggressive, cult-like training environment, leading to increased litigation and making his unethical teaching style a headline issue. Directed by Academy Award winner Eva Orner ("Taxi to the Dark Side," "Refuge") and produced by Sarah Anthony ("The Summit," "The Dissident"), the Netflix original documentary "Bikram: Yoga, Master, Predator" tells the story of the women who took down Choudhury and explores the contradictions of how this healing discipline helped people while also harming many.
