Video information

This is a documentary that explores the diverse cuisines, chefs, and their development history and cultural origins in Singapore. Each episode focuses on a different theme, such as breakfast, tea snacks, chicken dishes, seafood dishes, etc., highlighting three representative restaurants to showcase the efforts of chefs in pursuit of culinary excellence. Singaporean cuisine has been deeply influenced by Chinese culinary culture. Early Singaporean chefs created many distinctive Singaporean dishes for the small island, such as kaya toast, red tortoise rice cakes, claypot rice, and Henghua braised noodles. Whether it's ancestral recipes or original recipes, chefs have continuously improved cooking methods, innovating and evolving. Over 50 years of culinary cultural changes have fostered a love for food among Singaporeans and demonstrated the overseas influence of Chinese culinary culture.
