During the eight years of the Japanese invasion of China, at least 200,000 Chinese women were forced to become sex slaves to the Japanese army, which is what we often refer to as "comfort women." When the film began shooting in 2014, only 22 "comfort women" survivors remained in mainland China. As time slowly passes and the wounds heal, where are these elderly people who have endured hardships beyond imagination, and what kind of lives are they leading now? What joys and sorrows are they experiencing?
