The five-episode documentary *The Great Chessboard: From the Cairo Declaration to the Potsdam Proclamation*, produced by the Military Documentary team from the PLA Television Publicity Center, will air every night at 8 PM from December 14 to 18 and December 21 to 25 on CCTV-7, the military and agricultural channel. The documentary *The Great Chessboard* is divided into five episodes: *Entering the Game*, *Making a Move*, *Struggling for Territory*, *Harmonizing Qi*, and *Closing the Game*. It offers a unique creative perspective, selecting historical fragments from the 20-month period between the Cairo Declaration in November 1943 and the Potsdam Proclamation in July 1945 to recreate and reinterpret this pivotal period of history that reshaped the global landscape. Since its launch in March this year, the production team has traveled to multiple cities in the UK, the US, Germany, Japan, and Taiwan, visiting locations such as the National Archives of the US and the UK, and the Roosevelt Memorial, meticulously collecting precious historical materials. The documentary vividly portrays the complete process of China transitioning from the main battlefield of the Eastern Front in the global anti-Fascist war to becoming one of the four major Allied powers, allowing viewers to witness through the footage the courage of the Chinese nation standing firm in the East.
