In the eyes of many, France is a romantic country, and Paris is a fashionable metropolis. But for those who live here, these labels fall far short of capturing the full essence of Paris. People often say that Shanghai is a melting pot. Why not Paris? Spanning the ages and blending the East and West. Here, people of all kinds come and go daily, either busy with their livelihoods or strolling like passersby, yet each leaves their own unique mark on the vibrant sky of France. In Paris, there is a group of people: they come from different backgrounds, study different fields, and engage in various professions, but the shared identity of being from Fudan University tightly unites them. Thus, this group has a new name: Fudan alumni. After saying goodbye to their alma mater, the Fudan alumni set foot on French soil. Therefore, the documentary *Fudan Alumni*, produced by the French Alumni Association of Fudan University, with two young Fudan alumni, Sun Lin and Gu Chao, serving as the producer and director, aims to deconstruct stereotypes and present the authentic lives of students studying in France and the spirit of Fudan to the audience. The voices captured in the footage may break some preconceived notions about Fudan alumni in Paris, and the language recorded by the camera may offer new insights beyond the labels.
