This is a nature documentary that records how a newborn monkey named Kip and his mother Maya survive in a competitive social hierarchy. Maya is a Lankan macaque, and her life changes with the birth of her son Kip. Maya hopes her son will achieve a higher social status within the group. When their home is taken over by monkeys from a neighboring tribe, their group needs to find a new home. Maya uses her innate wisdom to lead the group to a new location and then unites the entire group to reclaim their original home.
