Video information

In early 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic broke out. On January 23rd, Wuhan closed its outbound channels. Together with medical staff and frontline workers from various industries across the country, 9 million people in Wuhan launched the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic! The content of *Wuhan Days* comes from thousands of hours of footage shot by over 30 local photographers in Wuhan on the frontlines of the pandemic, starting from the beginning of the outbreak. The film focuses on the stories of medical staff and patients in the hospital's intensive care unit, with a secondary storyline of volunteers transporting pregnant women at night. It portrays the touching stories of people fighting against the pandemic and battling death. These "ordinary people" worked tirelessly day and night, risking their lives, helping each other, and overcoming difficulties together. In the darkest moments, there is always light in one's heart. No matter how impossible the situation may seem, human effort can make a difference. Even the smallest details contain the power of life. Beyond the empty streets in Wuhan during the pandemic, there were also people striving to live their lives, and even more so, there were new beginnings emerging from adversity. They were fearless, welcoming the sunlight. In this heroic city, 9 million people will continue to welcome one dawn after another. Their faces are blurry yet clear. Their names are ordinary yet unique. Their lives are ordinary yet meaningful.
