Flavor Lab Spring Festival Special is another pan-cultural food documentary in the Flavor series, following Flavor of the World and Flavor Lab. Host Lin Yilun, chef Lin Shuwei, and the director of Flavor of the World, Chen Xiaoyi, among others, worked together to create a special hometown reunion feast for seven guests who could not return home for the New Year. The program aims to help the guests rediscover the taste of their hometown during the festive season, experience their hometown in a foreign land, and ultimately achieve the core idea of "a meal warming a homesick person." The program uses the reunion feast to create a warm and relaxed atmosphere for conversation, bringing people closer emotionally while satisfying their palate, and sparking deeper insights into food.
