Video information
This documentary is the sixth installment in a documentary series directed by Michael Apted, which began in 1964. In 1964, Michael Apted filmed the documentary *7 Up* for the BBC in the UK, interviewing fourteen seven-year-old children from different social strata in Britain. Some came from orphanages, while others were from upper-class families. Every seven years after that, Apted would revisit these children to hear about their dreams and discuss their lives. At age 42, some had failed careers, while others had achieved success; some had happy marriages, while others were on the verge of collapse. Some were dealing with the loss of their parents, while others were coping with their children growing up. One is now a single mother raising her child alone, while another has remarried. Lynn and Jackie are facing health issues. Neil also experienced a test of friendship at the age of 42... All of them need to face life with a grounded and clear-headed attitude.
